THE BIRTH OF BREATHE BY REN
You've been there, I know most of you have. Rushing to an event but needing to pick up a greeting card for that special occasion. Trying to find the right card that will express in words what you would like to say. Nowadays, many cards are blank inside, leaving you to write your own words. That's cool sometimes. However, the times when your words seem to take a back seat in your brain, it's nice to have a card that can say "what you wanted to say but could not find the words." For that purpose, Breathe By Ren was born.
Breathe By Ren is a startup creating unique inspirational gifts and greeting cards to encourage, console, inspire, and breathe life into whatever the day may bring. Located in the hot state of Texas, Fort Worth is my home.

THE WRITING
If I were to tell you that writing was something I always imagined myself doing, I wouldn't be telling you the truth. Writing of any sort was never a dream or desire of mine, and yet I'm so humbled by the passion for writing God has given me. I don't consider myself a "professional writer" but rather someone who jots down inspirational moments in life.
Why do I write? I have often asked myself that very question over the years, and the answer remains the same. I write because I am moved by God to share with the world a piece of His love and to have my words capture your heart and speak to your soul.
THE INSPIRATION
The bulk of my writings derives from my relationship with my greatest inspiration of all, our Lord God Almighty. It might sound like a cliché, but I'm sorry, it's the truth! My relationship with our heavenly Father overwhelms me at times because His love is so amazing, which is why it's never difficult to write about His love for us.
At other times, I acquire inspiration from life. It could be life circumstances, people, nature, or the mere beauty and disasters of living on Earth. No one is exempt from circumstances in life that will inevitably come our way. We will all experience our share of highs and lows coupled with joy and pain as long as we reside in this world. Having an opportunity to console, uplift, or bring a smile to someone's face with my words is a gift I don't take for granted, and it will never grow old for me.
The design + Style
For as long as I can remember, I have been attracted to the uniqueness of an item. It could be clothes, jewelry, stationery, or anything related to style. Something a little bit different from the norm. In my collection, my designs are varied with titles, multiple shades of combined colors, and an array of fonts. In contemplating which graphics I would like to appear on the outside of my cards, I leaned again on words. Just like words, shades, and fonts can change the dynamics of a title. Bright colors make you happy, whereas heavier fonts can convey boldness. It allows me to be creative and make it my own. Will everything in my collection always be with the current graphics? No, not always, but for the most part, yes.
Each card in my collection was written in a poem format. That's because they're my original poems turned into my greeting cards, hence the titles. Some poems are longer than others; for that reason, I had to shorten them for card purposes.
I will always lean towards my creative side to bring unique, meaningful, and new work to my collection, all while pushing myself out of my comfort zone.
